Dr Sanoudou's major
research interests aim at deciphering the molecular pathophysiology of neuromuscular and cardiovascular disease,
improving prognostic and diagnostic approaches, and identifying
therapeutic targets. Her research work includes over 20
scientific publications and over 40 presentations at scientific
meetings. She is board certified in Clinical Molecular Genetics
by the American Board of Medical Genetics, and elected member of
the American College of Medical Genetics and the British
Institute of Biology.
Dr Sanoudou
completed her PhD at the Department of Pathology of the
University of Cambridge, and proceeded to a dual Post-doctoral
position and later to an Instructor position at the Department
of Genetics, Children’s Hospital Boston and the Department of
Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School (USA). She was responsible
for the establishment of the microarray technology as well as
the set up and co-direction of the Microarray Core Facility at
the Genetics Division of Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical
School.
